Collection: Toppers

There are so many types of toppers and topper sizes available and it can easily be very confusing. I will try to explain a little.

Toppers or top pieces or partial wigs that are worn on top of the crown and attached by using bonding methods (wig/hair glue or double sided tape) or with clips to clip into your biohair. They have the advantage that you can blend them with your own hair and can have it look like it all grows out of your head, even though a bit further back it is a hair piece and not your biohair anymore.

There are different kinds of hair loss and losing hair on top is a common type for female pattern baldness and other hair loss conditions. Many people do not want to commit to wearing full wigs when they still have hair enough to blend. Unfortunately the clips can frequently cause traction alopecia a type of hair loss caused by physical pull on the hair where it is clipped in. (Some people can even get traction alopecia from very tight ponytails as well.)

In order to avoid this traction alopecia I have come up with a method involving an elastic band and only one clip in the back. FOr people who prefer toppers with multiple clips, more clips could be sewn in and PU can be added to the cap in order to make them bondable. There are also all PU toppers available to bond (even for several days or weeks).

I am just starting to carry some toppers to see what the demand might be. On facebook many people have approached me to start carrying topper, so let’s see how that goes.
